Goodwood Festival of Speed
Goodwood Festival of Speed

Friday 11th - Sunday 13th September 2008 -

The Goodwood Festival of Speed takes place over three days and runs from 9.00am to 6.00pm each day. The Festival of Speed has become established as a key event in the motor sport social calendar and can justifiably claim to be the world’s biggest and most diverse celebration of the history of motor sport and car culture.

Friday sees all the cars try out the hill for the first time. This is a relaxing day for the enthusiast and a chance to feast the eyes on a dazzling collection of cars and bikes and to explore the enormous range of exhibitions: a Motor Show in its own right!

Saturday is the official practice day. Two hundred of the rarest racing cars and motorcycles are put through their paces on two practice runs up the hill.

Sunday sees action in earnest against the clock as competitors battle for class and outright awards. The Red Arrows often add to the excitement with dramatic aerobatics.

Moss Pavilion
This pavilion has been upgraded for 2008 and is now an elevated structure with a revised layout and a covered balcony. From this position on the outside of the track, you will be perfectly placed to see cars roaring off the startline to pass in front of you and turn into the first bend, then follow the action up the Hill to the finish line on the plasma screen.
You will have easy access to the lawn in front of the pavilion, with the track only a few metres away. This is a great way for smaller parties to enjoy the Festival of Speed in style. The Moss pavilion is a shared dining suite that is available for tables of two to twelve people.

The Stewart Pavilion
A stunning and exclusive elevated pavilion with balcony overlooking both the Formula One paddock and the track with views up to the challenging Molecomb Corner. Available for tables of four and upwards. The package includes a champagne and canapés reception.
