Organised by the Island Sailing Club, this is the world's largest yacht race with around 1700 yachts participating. Olympic sailors and amateurs alike jostle for position on the same start line. The race starts at the Royal Yacht Squadron starting line at Cowes and follows a 50 nautical miles course anti clockwise around the Isle of Wight.

The awards evening was extra special as it marked the 20th anniversary of Sussex Business Awards, which has become a major feature in the business calendar of Sussex since its inception in 1988.
